Globasure and NIBSS promote POS Adoption

Recently, Globasure partnered with Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS) in a road show event to promote POS adoption in Nigeria. The road show event was held at Oniwaya Market in Agege and it involved live demonstrations of the use of POS terminals and one to one engagement with consumers and traders on the benefits of POS use.

It was a very interesting and eye opening experience. The majority of merchants we engaged with showed a lot of interest in the use of POS for taking payments from customers. They were also fascinated by the opportunity of making an extra income and increasing customer footprint by offering value added services through Globasure’s ServPoint Bill Payment platform.

Based on the feedback from all the individuals we engaged with, it was clearly evident that there was a long way to go in educating the Nigerian populace on the benefits of electronic payments and ultimately achieving a sustainable cashless society in Nigeria. With promotional campaigns like this one, we will definitely get there.
