Globasure Technologies rolls its payment application on 14,000 Ingenico Terminals

Globasure Technologies, a financial technology company, which deploys secure payment solutions, is rolling out its payment application on 14,000 Ingenico Terminals purchased by some banks in furtherance of the national cashless initiative by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The Ingenico terminals have been purchased by the banks for deployment in 2012.

The Managing Director of the firm, Chris Ife, said on Monday that the move was in pursuance of the cashless initiative, which aims at reducing the amount of cash used in transactions in Nigeria.

“We are now rolling out our payment application on all Ingenico IWL 220 terminals purchased by the banks,” he said, adding that the firm is optimistic of a successful deployment of the terminals.

The service provider is working with Ingenico, one of the leading global providers of payment solutions to provide an end to end solution combining a wireless terminal GPRS connectivity and a remote solution for the banks.

Globasure Technologies is in strategic partnership with major EFT POS terminal manufacturers and payment solution providers to provide holistic POS deployment, implementation and support on hardware, software and services.
