Globasure signed a deal with Unity bank last week to deploy our GROAM SIM cards on their POS terminals nationwide. This is a big development for Globasure, given the fact that Unity bank is one of the fast growing and successful banks in Nigeria. Actual deployment of the GROAM SIMS cards will start today.
GROAM – is a special SIM card which automatically connects a GPRS device to the strongest network (MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat) ensuring you have the best possible coverage where ever the device is located. GROAM was developed by Globasure to counter the big issue of GPRS connectivity in Africa and particularly in Nigeria. This issue is most probably the biggest challenge facing POS accessibility and acceptance in Nigeria. Globasure has designed, with one of the largest European network company, a unique GPRS service in the payment industry available in over 100 countries – data dedicated only.
With the GROAM system, Unity bank will be guaranteed enhanced and stable GPRS connectivity for all their POS terminals which will vastly improve customer satisfaction.
